14 companies registered in Whitley Bay from 5 to 24 September: a restaurant, a takeaway, a café, a toy retailer and an event caterer. Plus one court petition.

Fourteen new companies with a Whitley Bay registered office were set up between 5 and 24 September, according to Companies House. Four of them are in food and drink, and the newest, a toy retailer, was registered on Thursday.

Two more companies registered in the same period give a “Whitley Bay” postal address in NE25 but sit in Seaton Delaval and New Hartley, which are in Northumberland. We have left them out.

In the Gazette

One Whitley Bay company appeared in the official insolvency notices this week.

  • The Patterned Concrete Driveway Co. Limited, of Park View, Whitley Bay: Barclays Bank UK plc has presented a petition to wind up the company, claiming to be a creditor. The company’s stated business is specialised construction. The petition will be heard at the High Court in London on 21 October 2026 (The Gazette, notice 5215277).

A petition is a request to the court, not a decision. The company can oppose it, and it may be paid, withdrawn or dismissed before the hearing.
