We checked 5 places selling real Christmas trees near Whitley Bay, from Seaton Delaval to Meldon Park, for 2026 prices and dates. Updated November 2026.
There are five places selling real Christmas trees within reach of Whitley Bay in 2026, and this guide puts them in one place with prices, opening dates and delivery to the coast. The closest is Edelweiss Christmas Trees at Seaton Delaval; most people heading inland land on Cowell’s Garden Centre at Woolsington, which takes pre-orders now and delivers to Whitley Bay, or Broomhall Christmas Trees at Black Callerton, which opens on 26 November. Every entry was checked against the seller’s own website or page on 5 November 2026.
We have not bought a tree from any of these for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry says what the seller says it does, with its own prices. We found no seller with a 2026 pitch in Whitley Bay, Monkseaton, Tynemouth or North Shields themselves, so every entry is a short drive away, and two of them deliver.

Closest to the coast
1. Edelweiss Christmas Trees, Seaton Delaval
Edelweiss is the nearest tree seller to Whitley Bay, a few minutes’ drive up the A190 at Seaton Delaval. Its Instagram page says it has been supplying real Christmas trees since 2000 and sells from the Secret Garden car park on Double Row.

Local press listings show it opening on 24 November in 2023 and 22 November in 2024, so check its Instagram page before you set off.

How we chose
We looked for sellers with a pitch, farm or garden centre within about half an hour of Whitley Bay, and kept only those whose own websites or pages we could read on 5 November 2026. Prices and dates are the sellers’ own; where a seller has not yet published its 2026 details, the entry says so. We left out national online delivery firms and supermarkets, and school and church fundraising sales, which have not published 2026 details yet. We will add them when they do.
