Local artist Laura Bradley shows Addicted to Love, oil paintings on love in its many guises, on Whitley Bay Library's first floor from 6 to 15 October.

Whitley Bay artist Laura Bradley is bringing a new exhibition, Addicted to Love, to Whitley Bay Library next week. It will be on display on the library’s first floor from Tuesday 6 October to Thursday 15 October.

It is her fifth exhibition at the library, according to her daughter, Amy Bradley, who sent us the details.

What the exhibition is

Amy describes her mother as “a local solo artist who enjoys bringing her work into the heart of the local community.”

In her words: “The exhibition explores love in its many guises, with the main body of work executed in oils alongside supporting pieces in mixed media.”

After Whitley Bay, the show travels. “The exhibition will also be shown at Newcastle City Library in May 2027,” Amy told us.

What it means for you

This is an exhibition in a public library, so you can look in during the library’s normal opening hours. We have not been given separate viewing times, so if you are making a special trip, check the library’s hours before you set off. It sits alongside a busy month in town, which our what’s on in Whitley Bay listing sets out date by date, and there is more in things to do in Whitley Bay.
